Hi everyone :) , I am new to Orchard Place Farm and i'm looking for some tips on lake 2.

I fished there yesterday and blanked. We tried boilies and pop ups. We tried everything that we had...

Nothing worked, then a person on the same lake caught a nice little carp on maggots .

Can anyone please tell me what the carp are like in this lake and maybe lake 1 and 3 ?

Thank you !

I FISHED LAKE 3 YESTERDAY AND HAD 5 TO 18LB OUT ALL ON OUR BANGER AND MARINE BOILIES THE BEST WAY OF FISHING THEM IS TOO TIP THEM OFF WITH SOMETHING BRIGHT LIKE YELLOW OR ORANGE AND PUT SOME PATRICLE AND A FEW BOILIES OVER THE TOP ,TRY AND FIND THE DEEP DROP OFFS VERY CLOSE TO THE ISLANDS THERE ARE LOTS OF THEM .ALSO THIS TIME OF YEAR TRY NOT TO CAST IN AND OUT TOO MUCH AS ALL MY FISH WERE AT LEAST A HOUR APART,DIP,SOAK,OR GULG YOUR BAITS AND A LITTLE STICK WORKS WELL ALSO,USING MAGGOTS ON LAKE 1,2,3 DOES WORK BUT YOU WILL ALSO BE PESTERED BY BARBEL, BREAM,TENCH,SO IF YOUR JUST AFTER CARP ID STICK TO THE BOILIES BUT THERE HAVE BEEN SOME GOOD HITS USING THEM,YOUR BE OK ON LAKE 4,7 AS THERE ARE ONLY CARP AND CATS IN THEM

HOPE THIS HELPS

I can't help with any Lake 2 tips based on my own experiences, but when I was down not so long ago, a regular - and very competent carper from what I could make out, was fishing the last swim on Lake 1 (furthest from the main car park), with a rod in Lake 2. He was catching off the end of the island in Lake 2, just to the left of the last swim on that main track bank. From memory, he'd had 3 nice doubles off that spot. (He was catching more on lake 2 with one rod than he had on lake 1 with 2 rods).

Hope that helps a bit.

Ooo...Very nice result considering the fact that he caught more with one rod than with two :)

Me and my Dad fished there on last sunday and we have not caught anything... We didn't know the swims well.

We were on the same peg as the carper you are talking about but we had bad luck :) Do you remember what

they were caught on ? If not, you still helped me and i now know what results are available on that lake :)

Im hoping to fish lake 2 and catch a fish before i move onto any other lake.

Cheers mate :)

Hello again. Regarding what the other lad caught on, I couldn't say for sure what he caught on. However, if I was to hazard a guess - it'd be based on the two bags of Mainline bait - one of which was definitely Cell - that I saw outside his bivvy when he was on Lake 4. (He moved onto Lake 1/2 after not having caught anything on Lake 4).

So, Cell may be worth a go - although that's very much me putting 2 and 2 together!

hello i found that the best pegs are the ones down towards the last island as you come into the mainĀ  car the ones that back onto lake 3 ,i always fish tight to the island and have had fish to 30lb from there i use the buzzer marine 14 with a peice of yellow corn on top fish over pellet and particle.

Ok :) Thank you for your advice and I'm really going to try the marine and cell ... Hopefully , the next trip to orchard me and my dad will be able to get a carp on the bank. As i said before another angler was fishing on the peg that goes onto lake 3 and he had carp out on maggots so I might get myself the bag of Marine and Cell but try it on a different session as i really want to try on the maggots but you never know :) Do they sell Marine,Cell,Maggots and other staff in the shop in Orchards ?

Thank you for your time and tips , Definitely expanded my knowledge about the fishery ;)
