it was the 1st time we had fished this place and tbh it was the best venue i have fished, when we arrived we where greeted by very friendly bunch of dogs that put a smile on our faces from get go, the tackle shop was very well stocked and covered all our needs for the week that we stayed, we even had power for our own use in the toilets, the toilets there selves where clan and tidy and keeped that way all week, the lakes there selves where in very good order and the swims are as clean as you could ever wish for, if it wasent michelle out and about in the mornings it was her mum or sons come and cheaking all was well but most importantly the fish where lovley no missing lips as ive seen on other lakes, no cuts or skratchs and no diseases, i cant see me fishing anyware els over the next cupple of sesions, the olny bad t5hing i can say about our week has nothing to do with the lakes or the owners it was other carp anglers, we had 2 or 3 ppl turn up on the lake at about 6-7pm then leaving at the same sort of time am and as fare as i could tell i was betting not all of them payed also there where other anglers who had been there for 3-4 days who left at the same time as us that left 5-6 bags of rubbish in there swim for others to clean up. just want to say thank you to all you guys at orcherd farm your doing a brill job and will see you for a nother week at the end of july

Any one been on lake 4? If so what u been catching? Cheers
Hi mate.....I'm going for a 48hr session next weekend, first time there any top tips....
hi fella 4 of us fished lake for from the 15/04 till the 22/04 between us we had about 15 fish, out of that there where 4-5 fish under 10 pounds the rest where 15s,18s,27s and 2 30s allong with a 37 pounds moggy, there are so many ducks up there that a zig might be more hassle than its worth, we had a hard time fishing the margins as the ducks where on it right away, as fare as hot spots go i dont beleave in them, i figer that the hot spot is where the fish are at that time, but others like to get the swims ether side of the channl between the ilands and fish thru the center close to the banks, hope this help you
Hi guys and girls I was just wondering if lake four fishes well for zigs

Done a 24 hr session on lake 7 again last weekend and thought id share my joy! fished sat midday to sunday midday, had 5 carp to 30lb 12oz. All fish fell to the usual boilie and sloppy spod mix, and used quite a bit as the bites kept coming, cant wait till the next time i can get down now!
done a 24hr session on lake 1 on sat and arrived at about 2 o,clock set up straight away and fished the nearest swim as u approach the lake had 2 rods out one on the marine 14 buzzers baits and the other on mainline cell boilies . by night nothing happening but then at about 3am i had a screaming run on my left hand rod on the mainline cell boilie off the corner of the island i managed to land a nice 14lb mirror carp . will be back soon to have another go on lake 1 :)
buzzers baits marine 14 cant go wrong with that bait up orchards and cell boiles

Fished Sunday with my son Oliver age 10. Normally fish lake 6, but it was booked for a match and Oliver is getting more into his Carp fishing. We set up the Carp rods and fished a light method feeder rod for whatever else might be about. We tried maggots, tutti fruttie, blue cheese boilie, hempies, pop up corn. Nothing not a bite and it seemed quite all around. Then at about 5.45 I was just rebaiting a carp rod and Oliver said Fish on (On the light feeder rod). After a good scrap a lovely 19lb common in the net. A PB for Oliver and one very happy lad. The lake seemed to wake up. We saw A really nice guy called George put 2 on the bank and lose 1 more and Another person lose one further up. I know it's not considered a big fish for the lakes, but for him it was something special, and now believes he can beat his goals.
Oliver now only wants to fish the Carp lakes and is now determined to get a 20lb plus this year and a cat fish. I think he did brilliant to land the fish on the feeder rod and showed what he is learning from watching others in the way he played the fish. I would like to say a big thank you to all the other anglers that always have words of encouragement to him and spend the time talking to him. Next up the 24hr sessions. Again thanks to everyone including Steve and michelle for being so kind to him.
I will post a photo later.
